 This page will help you set up your Internet     Connection & Email Account on your computer.


 
 

Step One; Setting up your Internet Connection

 1. Open the control panel (Windows XP click on start & navigate to the    (control panel) all other windows operating systems click on start, then  settings, then the control panel.

2. In the control panel you will find an icon that says " Internet Options"

3. Open up Internet options & navigate to the column that says connection.

4. Click on the button located on the right that says set up (if you see any other connections in the white box, please remove them first).

5. After clicking on the set up button the connection wizard will open up. Make sure there is a dot in Connect to the Internet (your first option). Click next & pick set up my Internet connection manually, click next once again. Now pick connect using a dialup modem, click next once again.

6. Now in the ISP name type in "gonet", click next once again. Note: it is importent that you type always using small type, Never large caps. On the page type in your local access number.  "1st-gonet.com" will not be held responsible for any toll calls. If you need to locate your local access number "click here", click next after entering your local access number.

7. Now enter your user name (example) admin@1st-gonet.com. Your email address will be your login user name. Now enter your password & enter it the second time if asking for it.

8. Now click next "Great job your Internet Connection is set up & ready to use.


 


                Step Two; Setting up your E-Mail Step By Step.                For those of you whom wish to set up your e-mail directly on your computer.
 

1. Open up Outlook express (this setup will work with Office Outlook, Outlook Express and Incredamail. Note: Not all version of Office Outlook, 2001 and so on look the same as some screens have changed

2. Click on tools at the top of this screen

 

 

                 3.After you Click on tools you will see this menu, Scroll down to Accounts at the bottom and Click on it.

 

 

4. Now after you click on accounts, You will see this screen. Now click on the tab that says mail. Do Not worry about any of the rest of the tabs, they are not important and have nothing to due with your email

 

 5. Now click on the button that says Add located at the (top right hand corner). You will then see a sub menu, see below. Now Click on the tab that says Mail

 

6. You will now find your self at this screen. Now type in the name you wish to use.  See example below. Note: A first name is fine you do Not need to use a   last name if you do not wish. After you have completed your entry, Click Next.

 

7. Now you will Come to a screen asking for your e-mail address. Here you will type in your complete e-mail address, See example below. Once this is completed Click Next.

Example: john@1st-gonet.com

 

8. Now in your Incoming Mail Server you will type mail.1st-gonet.com . Next in your Outgoing Mail Server you will type  smtp.aspadmin.com  Note: This All  Must be typed Exactly as it is below. When you have completed. Click Next

9. You will see this screen below: Important your account name is your complete email address Now type your secret password in the password box, it will look like ********* for security reasons. Note: if you do not wish your computer to remember your pass word, then uncheck the box that says remember password, this means you will always need to type it in when you log on to the internet mail, this will be importent not to for get.  When completed. Click Next

10. If you were able to get through all screens with out any problems, than you will now see this screen below. Click finish

11. Now Click Close and you will receive this screen below. Click closed

12. Now Click Close. Congratulations. you are ready to send and receive E-Mail.
